Deutsche Lufthansa is one of the three largest airline companies in the world and the largest airline in Germany. To integrate a new passenger service system (PSS) into its existing IT structure, Lufthansa needed to find a way to map the new system with data housed in its numerous legacy applications. The airline looked to EDS, an HP company, and its Airline service-oriented architecture (SOA) for a best-in-class common platform that now standardizes processes and streamlines services across the enterprise, including Lufthansa’s partner carriers.
