A Study about Analysis of Organizational Culture and Structure as a Basis for the Implementation of Knowledge Management
In the commercial world of today Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning are supposed to be indispensable prerequisites for the competitive ability of companies. Organizational learning can be considered analogous to individual learning. It is based on individual learning processes and means a change of organizational structure and/or culture with the aim of surviving in the dynamic environment. Organizational learning should be systematic and should include all the people concerned. Managers, in particular, have the potential to change an organization and therefore they should act in an exemplary way.

Organisations can only remain competitive in this dynamic field if they change. Clients often tell me they’re not really clear about the concept of Strategy. It’s a lot easier than you might think. Strategy is one of the steps in the planning process and cycle. The sequence in the business planning process is Vision, Mission, Goals, Strategy.
Vision is where you start and is the most abstract. Once clarified it become the guiding light toward which all your activities will be directed. Your Mission is what you do in your business to carry out your Vision. Goals are specific measurables that define what will exist when you’ve realized your Vision. The Strategy step is the thinking through of how you will achieve those Goals.
Start by considering the resources you have and the direction you want to go. Evaluate various scenarios and steps and predict how they will turn out. An analogy that makes it easier to understand is the game of chess. Various moves are considered with predicted outcomes BEFORE the actions are taken. Click here to read more…
Abstract: This thesis involves a detailed study of steel-wood hybrid structures and their applications in construction industry. Hybrid structures combine benefits of dissimilar materials to overcome their individual limitations. Various advantages and challenges of steel-timber hybrid structures are presented. Benefits include increase in tensil e capacity, seismic performance, fire resistance of the structure, and cost savings. Challenges with this type of hybrid structures originate from the differences in the properties of the materials used.
Introduction: Hybrid construction combines the structural and architectural features of components made from different materials. In hybrid construction, various materials may work independently or act together homogeneously, but are always better than a single material. During the last decade a lot of research has been done on applications of hybrid structures however, the available information and details for steel and wood hybrid structures are dispersed and not readily accessible to builders.
