A Case Study on Evaluation of SGSY In Selected Blocks of Madhya Pradesh

A Study about Evaluation of SGSY In Selected Blocks of Madhya Pradesh

The SGSY, a centrally sponsored Scheme of the Ministry of Rural Development, is the largest credit-based poverty alleviation programme in the world. Addressing removal of poverty has been a cornerstone of the planning process in India since the beginning of development planning in the fifties. However, a direct programme of attacking poverty and unemployment was introduced only with the Fourth Five Year Plan. Learning from gaps and shortcomings in implementation of the preceding programmes, the SGSY in its design encompasses many factors to make it comprehensive and holistic.

Case Study on Evaluation of SGSY

Underlying the conception is the objective of bringing the poor above the poverty line by make them self employed through promotion of economic activities facilitated by the availability of credit. Formation of homogenous groups of the poor into SHGs of 10-15 persons, identification of a few key economic activities which they can start, availability of credit and subsidy, provision of appropriate training, establishment of marketing linkages and infrastructure are the key elements of the programme. A Case Study on International Records Management Trust

A Study about International Records Management Trust

Background:~ A key component of the country’s Public Service Reform Programme, Phase II, was to promote e-government and knowledge management as a means of improving governance and service delivery. Tanzania was moving forward to enhance its ICT infrastructure and to develop its capability to deliver services using new technologies. The Government recognised the need to incorporate records management in the design of ICT systems so that they were capable of managing, protecting and providing reliable information over time. This objective had yet to be achieved, but computers were commonplace in most ministries, and increasingly government business and communications were conducted electronically through email, the web, desk top computers and networked information systems.

A Case Study on Infrastructure for a Seamless Asia

A Study about Infrastructure for a Seamless Asia

Executive Summary: A sia’s diversity is its strength, providing opportunities for trade, investment, and economic growth. The region’s economies have flourished as they have become more closely intertwined with each other and the rest of the world. International supply chains span the region to take advantage of each country’s comparative advantage. As a result, Asia plays an increasingly central role in the global economy: it is the world’s production factory, biggest saver, and an emerging giant in outsourced services.

Case Study on Infrastructure

Without good connectivity, however, diversity breeds disparity rather than prosperity. Asia’s trade competitiveness—and its increasingly sophisticated production networks in particular—depends on efficient, fast, reliable, and seamless infrastructure connections. The pattern of Asia’s development highlights this phenomenon. Its thriving firms cluster in an arc of enterprise along its coastlines, close to international ports and airports. But many parts of Asia—inland and remote areas, landlocked countries, and distant islands—are isolated economically as well as geographically. Much of Asia’s potential remains untapped. Case Study on Hammarby Sjostad

Case Study for Hammarby Sjostad

Hammarby Sjostad is a district in Stockholm, Sweden adjacent to the downtown, which is a brownfield site that is being developed as a sustainable neighborhood. Previously an industrial waterfront, planning for the redevelopment of the site began in 1996. The 2004 Olympic bid was incorporated into the site’s redevelopment, however after Sweden did not receive the bid, the city shifted its development focus to building a sustainable community that is twice as efficient as a typical one.

Case Study on Hammarby Sjostad

The Hammarby Model, which is the district’s attempt at a balanced, “closed-loop urban metabolism”, accounts for the unified infrastructure of energy, water and waste. In addition to the Hammarby Model infrastructure, the presence of urban-scaled density, access to multiple modes of transit with an emphasis on reduced car commuting, preservation and restoration of existing natural systems, and progressive construction and housing policies make Hammarby Sjostad an “effective demonstration that ecological and urban go together” by means of comprehensive planning. Case Study of IT Infrastructure Purchasing in Finnish SME

Case Study about IT Infrastructure Purchasing in Finnish SME

This thesis concentrates on identifying if and how the use of decision making heuristics can lead to biased decision making in organizational purchasing context and in which ways a salesperson can identify such situation to present the best solution to the buyer’s problem. The main object of the study is to find which cognitive biases affect the different stages of the purchasing process of the case companies and to what extent.

Case Study on Infrastructure Purchasing

A literature review of customer centric selling, organizational purchasing and behavioral decision making theory in purchasing context was used to create a theoretical framework for the empirical study. The empirical data of the comparative multi-case study was collected with semi-structural interviews. The interviews were carried for two separate groups of people: salespeople at Finnish IT resellers and purchasing decision makers at Finnish small and medium-sized enterprises. Keep reading…

Case Studies on Integrated Water Resources Management

A Study about Integrated Water Resources Management

Introduction: As social values have changed, traditional water management approaches focused narrowly on water supply development without consideration of social or ecosystem impacts are no longer sufficient.Recognizing this, water professionals have sought to implement the principles of integrated water resources management (IWRM) to address threats from aging infrastructure, climate change, and population growth while balancing environmental, social, and economic needs (USACE, 2010).

Case Study on Water Resources Management

Although the concept’s foundation can be traced to early basin planning efforts in the United States in the 1920s, the use of the term “IWRM” became popular in the late 1990s in conjunction with work by the Global Water Partnership to promote its use(Biswas, 2008; Hooper, 2010). Keep reading…

A Case Study on Reducing Internal Information Technology Resource Allocation Through Global Upstream Electronic Business Standards

A Case Study about Reducing Internal Information Technology Resource Allocation Through Global Upstream Electronic Business Standards

Abstract: An increasing number of organisations are beginning to operate in a standardised business process environment suggesting that there is benefit in a standardised business messaging infrastructure. Novozymes A/S is the first known industrial biotech organisation in Denmark to apply the GS1 and the Consumer Goods Forum’s global upstream standards initiative (GUSI) in a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) scenario.

Case Study on Internal Information Technology

This case study methodology outlines the results of Novozymes’ application of GUSI standards over three separate implementations replenishing 25 customers’ factories and describes the resultant reduction in internal IT effort. The implementation data were collected from a total of twenty five factories (sites) which Novozymes, today, replenish using GUSI VMI. The ‘ex post’ results were then compared and interpreted against a Novozymes internal benchmarking analysis which was used an ‘ex ante’ base line. Keep reading…
