Case Stduy on A Tradecraft Primer: Structured Analytic Techniques for Improving Intelligence Analysis

Case Stduy about A Tradecraft Primer: Structured Analytic Techniques for Improving Intelligence Analysis

Using the analytic techniques contained in this primer will assist analysts in dealing with the perennial problems of intelligence: the complexity of international developments, incomplete and ambiguous information, and the inherent limitations of the human mind. Understanding the intentions and capabilities of adversaries and other foreign actors is challenging, especially when either or both are concealed.

Case Study on Tradecraft Primer

Moreover, transnational threats today pose even greater complexity, in that they involve multiple actors—including nonstate entities—that can adapt and transform themselves faster than those who seek to monitor and contain them. Finally, globalization has increased the diversity of outcomes when complex, interactive systems such as financial flows, regional economies or the international system as a whole are in flux. A Case Study on Growth of Indian Agriculture

A Case Study about Growth of Indian Agriculture

Introduction:~ Information and knowledge on the level of agricultural development below the state level is prerequisite to design policy measures for development of backward regions. The available study on agricultural development at the district level analysis by Bhalla and Singh (2001) covers the period from 1962/5 to 1990/3 only. Almost a decade has passed since than. A number of significant developments have occurred since then. Numerous policies and programs have been initiated in Indian economy under the ongoing processes of liberalization and globalization (under the GATT/WTO agreement). The main aim of the proposed study is to assemble district level evidence for a broader assessment of development and growth in Indian agriculture for the latest period 2001/2-2003/4, the period for which the latest district level data is available.

Case Study on Growth of Indian Agriculture

However, before embarking on to examine the performance of agriculture growth across districts in India it would be worthwhile to have a macro overall view of the Indian agriculture. A broad overview of emerging trends and tendencies in wake of the recent developments following the processes of liberalization and globalization of Indian economy since early 1990s, expected to equip us in better understanding of the emerging district level spatial pattern and dynamics in the Indian agriculture. A Case Study on Natural Resource Conflict Management

A Case Study about Natural Resource Conflict Management

Introduction: Natural resource management is in many ways a form of conflict management. Traditions, customs, rules, laws and policies dealing with issues of access to, and use and management of, natural resources all aim to bring order and predictability to situations where competition and conflicting interests – even in the smallest communities – are present. Such institutions and practices can be termed “proactive” responses seeking to manage the potential for tension and conflict. Although resource management and conflict management are closely linked, only recently have policy-makers, State resource managers, practitioners, academics and others attempted to address the connection.

Case Study on Natural Resource Conflict Management

This recent attention may reflect a growing awareness of the scope, magnitude and implications of natural resource conflicts. Increased competition for natural resources among multiple stakeholders with diverse interests is occurring worldwide within the current trends of globalization, democratization, decentralization and urbanization. Given this new situation, communities often have a greater need and opportunity to participate in sustainable resource management. Along with these new needs and opportunities there are often tensions and conflicts, including disagreement over access rights and lack of consensus on management objectives. Keep reading…

Studies for Globalization and New Ethnicization of Mentality

Studies about Globalization and New Ethnicization of Mentality

Introduction: A new universal ethnization of mentality is part of the fundamental features of present time, to wit, the phenomenon of economical globalization and the exclusive way of thinking. This phenomenon touches all aspects of human life and is inserted in a new perspective for our society. If we want to present the cultural behavior of present-day Brazilian people even in a superficial overview, we must consider the consequences of the major historical facts of the last centuries, which coincide with Modernity and reflect in the avant-garde trends of art history as well as in the revolutionary movements of Postmodernity.

Case Study on Ethnicization of Mentality

On the one hand we presently see the phenomenon of technological innovation, the manipulation of plant and animal life which, together with the recent globalization of the economy, creates and imposes a new way of mental domination and impacts the creation of new social movements as an expression of rebellion and resistance. On the other hand, new left wing parties from the outset often feel condemned to failure because they are unable to manage the impacts of the economy and politics of the new world order, which for the most part are imposed by a fundamentalist hegemony. Case Study on Strategic Decision-Making in Development Theory and Practice: A Learning Approach to Democratic Development

Case Study about Strategic Decision-Making in Development Theory and Practice: A Learning Approach to Democratic Development

Abstract: This thesis comprises two Parts. The first develops a theoretical framework for analyzing development policy and practice. A central argument is that a reason for widespread discontent with the so-called ‘Washington consensus’ is the exclusion of the majority of people from the governance of their development. An implication is that ‘development’will continue to fail people until decision-making structures are altered to reflect the views of those that are seeking to ‘develop’. This perspective suggests the possibility of a ‘dual approach’ to policy that seeks to alter decision-making structures while working in the shadow of the consensus; a learning process of democratic engagement in development, both within and across localities.

Caes Study on Strategic Decision-Making

When extended to consider the contested theme of ‘ globalization’, our framework provides an analytically meeting ground for seemingly polar views, making a conceptual distinction between elite and democratic globalization. The second Part of the thesis then advances and applies this framework through the exploration of specific issues and cases: the importance of communication for the governance of development; a specific case study of multinational engagement in local development processes; the role of ‘clusters’ in employment generation processes; and an analysis of the recent Argentinian economic crisis. keep reading…

A Case Study for Effectiveness and Sustainability on Education Projects

A Case Study about Effectiveness and Sustainability on Education Projects

Abstract: The past few decades have seen an undoubtedly rising trend in the decentralization of power, accompanied by financial managerial responsibilities at local government levels. This trend is even more apparent in developing countries. A variety of reasons are attributable to this increase. They include globalization of the corporate economy, global and economic crises as well as democratization initiatives by national governments and international development agencies such as the World Bank. While this study confirms this assertion, it also highlights the tremendous challenges that such decentralized initiatives face, particularly relating to the contexts of developing countries.

Case Study on Effectiveness and Sustainability

This study aims to establish the effectiveness and sustainability of Kenya‟s Constituency Development Fund as a fiscal decentralized initiative aimed at poverty reduction. The study focuses on the contribution of CDF on education and how this has brought about changes related to increased access to education, better education facilities and improved performance. The study also seeks to highlight prime factors such as participation in decision making as necessary for the implementation of the CDF, while also highlighting those factors that hinder the effective and sustainable implementation of the program. How Civil Society Helped the Poor?

A Study about How Civil Society Helped the Poor?

Abstract: This paper sets out to explore the achievements of civil society in the area of poverty reduction. The focus is mainly on three domains (1) Advocacy; (2) Policy Change and (3) Service Delivery. Three case studies illustrate how poverty can be addressed at various levels and through different approaches:
(1) Shack Dwellers International (SDI) operating internationally to advocate for the urban poor’s rights;
(2) Civil society organizations participating in the formulation of PRSPs to call for pro-poor policy reforms at the national level; and finally
(3) The example of BRAC (formerly the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee) providing services to the poorest at the grassroots level.

Drawing on these case studies, the paper explains the keys to success and reasons for failure of civil society organizations in tackling poverty reduction effectively.

Case Study on Civil Society Helped the Poor

Introduction: The 1990s saw many changes as the Cold War ended and globalization began to drive social and economic change. Two of these have particular significance for the subject of this paper. First, the evolution of a global consensus that extreme poverty had to be tackled, culminating in the MDGs. Secondly, the belief that civil society should be a major player in this task – mobilizing communities, delivering services and shaping policies. The question is then: can civil society play a major role in delivering the world’s biggest promise, i.e. poverty reduction? Despite the importance of global poverty reduction, no movement has ever been developed around this issue. Why are there environmentalists and feminists but not ‘poverty-reductionists’? The growing international interest in poverty reduction results mainly from the efforts of aid and donor agencies and the energies of thousands of civil society organizations – rather than a selfsustaining social movement on poverty. Case Study on Taiwanese Elementary School: SWOT

Case Study about Taiwanese Elementary School: SWOT

Abstract: Globalization has changed things worldwide, and it changes the conditions under which English learning takes place because globalization has brought more intimate contact among people from different parts of the world. The international language used by people to communicate in this era of globalization is English; organizations therefore need bilingual experts to help them build up good relationships with other firms, making English more important than ever. It has greatly contributed to people’s zeal to learn English in Taiwan. Consequently, English learning with a concept of knowledge management in Taiwanese education has to become more important for both teachers and students.

A Case Study on Consumer Ethnocentrism

Case Study about Consumer Ethnocentrism

Abstract: Country of origin is an important construct in consumer decision making relative to purchasing foreign or domestic products or services. Consumer ethnocentrism has been shown to be an important determinant in purchasing foreign versus domestic products. The CETSCALE used to measure consumer ethnocentrism was introduced in the U.S. by Shimp and Sharma (1987). Given the importance of country of origin to international marketers, the role of consumer ethnocentrism in decision making has been studied in many countries in order to understand their consumer attitudes toward purchasing foreign products or services. However, the measurement properties of CETSCALE have been evaluated in only a limited number of countries with mixed results.

Case Study on Consumer Ethnocentrism

Introduction: International consumer marketing scholars and managers have stressed the role of globalization in the world economy and its effect on consumer decision making (Saeed, 1994). In the era of globalization, consumers have the choice among products from different national origins. These global consumers do not evaluate products based only on variables such as quality and price but also take into account a variable such as country of origin (COO) (Suh and Kwon, 2002). When consumers are not familiar with the product, they tend to rely on country of origin as a cue to indicate the quality of the product(Johansson et al., 1985). However, sometimes consumers might be convinced of the high quality of a product and still not buy it due to their own ethnocentrism. Keep reading…

A Studies for Virtual Organizations in Mobile Computing Environments

A Studies about Virtual Organizations in Mobile Computing Environments

Abstract: This project explores the domain of Virtual Organizations (VOs), presenting an overview of the concept, and describing enabling technologies. An analysis of dynamic collaborative organizations in mobile computing environments is provided, along with a comparison between these new organizational forms and the existing VO taxonomy.Motivated by the work performed by the MOWAHS project, this report aims to contribute in understanding VOs, and in continuously assessing and improving the work processes within these.

Case Study on Mobile Computing Environments

Introduction: New ways of organizing businesses are continuously evolving with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as an enabling factor along with increasing pace and globalization of the market. Individuals and businesses now collaborate from geographically dispersed locations in a much larger degree than before. The technology is now enabling individuals to connect to the Internet and carry out their work anywhere, anytime. This is referred to as nomadic computing by (LaPorta et al., 1996). As this concept of work matures in organizations, new challenges and issues emerge related to the computer interfaces and information systems the users interact with. Keep reading…
