Introduction: There is no consensus about the best theoretical approach to be used to study a regional development board’s (RDB) perception and execution of management processes and roles. Regional development studies are at an early stage of development regarding the internal management operations of a RDB.
This paper’s summary of a comprehensive analysis of the literature identifies a significant gap in the understanding of a RDB. The deficiency has implications for research methods in this area. In brief, this paper’s aims are twofold. First, it contribute to our understanding of RDB’s.
