Field and Trek Plc are a market leading retail and mail order specialist in the competitive outdoor leisure market. The extensive product range carried varies from camping equipment to walking boots and stocks. The business currently has an estate of 14 retail outlets and a head office with a warehousing and distribution centre situated in Brentwood, Essex. Mail order sales are processed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and retail sales from its busy stores are continuing seven days a week.
When selecting a retail system, Field and Trek initially needed a proven ‘off the shelf’ solution for six new retail outlets that would minimise customer disruption. Accordingly, BitS provided a solution that satisfied both the in-store point of sale and head office requirements for the initial project.
