The Challenge: With the continuous development along the Dadu River, the Dadu River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. or Dadu River Company, is currently responsible for making the 1300 megawatt Gongzui Hydropower and Tongjiezi Hydropower Stations operational and for managing the 3300 megawatt Pubugou Hydropower Station that is under construction.
As part of these projects, the company needs to construct a centralized control center for the cascade hydropower stations along the river in Chengdu. Due to the breadth of the project and the distance between substations in this remote, mountainous region, the company needs a monitoring system that will enable centralized, remote and real-time monitoring of a variety of IT equipment.
