Abstract: Capital market is the backbone of the country. This research study aims to provide information aboutthe capital market like stock exchanges, indices, methodology for index constructions. It aims to measure the price volatility for a particular event (Pre and post announcement date) and predict the future trend by using appropriate fundamental (Key financial ratios) and technical tools (Pivote point, beta, excess return, efficient market hypothesis). This research study reveals the impact of the market for certain announcements.
Introduction: Capital market of the country has to contribute the drastic growth in the economy of the country. Stock exchanges are the indicators of status of the economy. In India about 23 stock exchanges located in variousregions. Out of which 2 stock exchanges are the major viz., NSE and BSE. Sensex is the primary index of BSEIL. Along with Sensex, BSEIL provide 26 indices. S&P CNX Nifty is the major index owned by NSEIL. Along with Nifty, NSEIL provide 22+ indices.
