Business Challenge:
• Jadransko osiguranje is a Croatian insurance company offering a range of insurance services to its clients, specializing in car insurance. Since 2010 the company has been one of three industry leaders holding an almost 10% share of the Croatian non-life insurance market.
• Throughout the years the company expanded its business by establishing eight subsidiaries in Croatia. As the number of subsidiaries grew, the decentralized IT environment became increasingly difficult to manage.
Solution:
• To address this, Jadransko osiguranje decided to pursue a virtualization strategy and opted for a solution from market leaders VMware and Cisco.
• Working with implementation partner ITsoft, Jadransko osiguranje deployed VMware vSphere and VMware View to virtualize its servers and desktops, and the Cisco Nexus 1000V Series Switch to achieve a high level of data security and protection in its new virtual environment which has 20 physical servers serving 70 virtual servers.
