Challenge: The Gibbons Group has been growing year on year, retaining a diverse customer base and successfully operating in a variety of industries. In order to take the company into the next stage of growth, the management team understood the importance of attaining external accreditation to validate the internal controls they had in place and approached MAS for support. What they really needed was confirmation of their structured approach to quality and environmental management, giving potential new customers the confidence that they could deliver cost effective solutions of the highest quality and reliability.
Action: Chairman Martin Gibbons and project champion Claire Scott worked with MAS Specialist Victoria Tsoi to support the implementation of the systems required to attain ISO9001 and 14001. The business had set itself a tight timeframe of 12 weeks for the project, to allow entry to new and varied markets allowing sales to be developed as a direct result.
