Brief. Introduction: Baines & Ernst receive between 100,000 and 150,000 customer related documents per month. The documents are scanned as a matter of course, fulfilling their corporate paperless office policy. Documents are opened, sorted and batched by their post room team.
Scanned images are then transferred to the data capture team, where documents are coded by type and the relevant information data captured. Once coded the system leads the capture of the correct information. Baines & Ernst considered outsourcing its data capture process, without compromising data security, and accuracy of data capture.
