Case Study about Internet from the Horn of Africa: Ethiopia
Overview: The Federal Republic of Ethiopia,nown in the past under the biblical name of Abyssinia, is one of the most ancient independent countries in the world. It has its historical origins in the Empire of Ethiopia, which according to legend was founded by Menelik I, son of King Solomon and Queen Sheba.
Ethiopia is the only country in Africa which has never been colonized. For this reason it stands as a symbol for other African countries and has been chosen to host important regional African institutions, such as the Organization for African Unity (OAU) and UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
